Job Purpose: Under minimal supervision has an excellent understanding of all tasks and processes. Only under certain circumstances will employee require guidance or assistance. Performs tasks well and only needs assistance or supervision when learning a more advanced task. Provides limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks to approximately 35 in-home care workers. Supervises work by planning, scheduling, reviewing, and/or approving work tasks.
Essential Job Duties:
- Establish work procedures or schedules and keep track of the daily work of in-home staff.
- Schedule background checks and fingerprinting and maintain for all employees.
- Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
- Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
- Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems.
- Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
- Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information, internally or with other organizations.
- Perform payroll functions, such as maintaining timekeeping information and processing and submitting payroll.
- Compose monthly reports.
- Complete forms in accordance with company procedures, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain appropriate files for clients and in-home workers.
- Review work done by others to ensure adherence to program policies for in-home workers.
- Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.
- Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
- Train and assist staff with computer usage.
- Order and dispense supplies.
- Distribute paper payroll checks.
- Discuss account status or activity with clients.
- Record and maintain personnel information for in-home workers and clients.
- Issue documentation or identification to employees.
- Assist in training in-home workers.
- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate people according to their needs.

- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or above.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

- Must be able to detect and respond to changes in the environment, such as safety hazards or urgent needs of senior patrons.
- Occasionally moves supplies or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed in a senior center office environment.
- The role may require occasional travel within the county for errands, meetings, or outreach events.
- The position may involve exposure to emotionally sensitive situations and requires patience, empathy, and discretion.

Qualifications:
